Mara is a practice management software designed for therapists. It allows you to manage your clients, schedule appointments, take therapy notes, and create and send invoices all in one place. You can access it from any device with an internet connection.

You can schedule both in-person and virtual appointments on Mara. For in-person appointments, you can add location information. For virtual appointments, you can add a link to your video conferencing platform directly in the appointment details.

Mara has a built-in clash prevention system that alerts you if there is a scheduling conflict. This helps to reduce stress and prevent double-booking, so you can focus on providing the best care for your clients.

Mara’s invoicing system allows you to create and send invoices for single or multiple sessions. You can customize the details of the invoice using the invoice wizard, and clients can pay using bank transfers or credit cards. Payment status can be tracked on the dashboard, and you’ll receive 1-click confirmation from clients when payment has been completed. confirmation from clients.

Mara does not charge any additional fees for using its payment processing options. However, our partner payment processor charges a 2.9% fee for processing credit card payments, which will be outlined in their terms and conditions.

No, there are no long-term contracts or commitments when using Mara. You can cancel your account at any time, and there are no fees for doing so.

If you’re on our starter plan, it’s not necessary to cancel your subscription since it’s free.

If you decide to cancel a professional plan subscription, you will retain full access until the end of your active subscription period. Once the subscription ends, all data on Mara will become read-only. This means you can still access all your previously saved information, but you won’t be able to add or edit client details, appointments, session notes, and to-dos. We keep account data for a certain period after an account expires, unless you delete your account.

For inactive accounts or an expired subscription, we’ll delete the accounts and their data at least three years after the subscription expiration.

Should you (sadly) choose to delete your Mara account, all of your data is completely and irreversibly removed from the Mara database. We do not simply mark your account as inactive. We completely destroy all account data. (To be clear, you explicitly request this non-reversible deletion. If you happen to let your account lapse accidentally, we don’t assume you mean DESTROY ALL MY DATA. That would be a horrible assumption.)
